Extra Value | The # 1 Thing That Helped Me Build My Businesses

PLUS: How Sprite is capitalizing on a viral trend, Instagrams new “business card” feature and how colleges are changing the influencer landscape!

Founder’s Corner

One of the biggest breakthroughs in my journey has been sharing my beliefs, even when I knew they could be rejected. Putting my thoughts out there has connected me with people who resonate with my vision. While not everyone will care or agree, the ones who do will support your growth, and amplify your voice!

Share your journey and beliefs. 💬

It’s the key to finding your tribe… the people who support you through thick and thin.

Why Sharing Your Beliefs Matters

1.Authentic Connections:

  • People are drawn to authenticity.

  • When you share your real thoughts and beliefs, you connect with individuals who value what you stand for.

2.Collaboration + Opportunities:

  • By putting your ideas out into the world, you invite feedback and new opportunities.

  • People want to engage with creators and entrepreneurs who are genuine and passionate about their mission!

3.Attracts the Right Audience:

  • Not everyone will agree with you… ✨but that’s the point.✨

  • Sharing your beliefs helps you filter out those who aren’t aligned with your values and brings in those who are genuinely excited about your journey.

How to Apply This in Your Own Life

  • Baby Steps: When I first started, I didn’t share everything at once. I started by posting about things I truly cared about, even if I wasn’t sure how it would land. The key is getting comfortable with putting your thoughts out there. Social media, conversations with friends, or even your business can be your starting points. Just begin.

  • Focus on Consistency: The more you share, the clearer your message becomes. I didn’t get it perfect from day one, and neither will you, but what matters is showing up EVERYDAY! Over time, the right people will come to you because they see you’re genuine.

  • Accept Rejection: I’ve had people disagree with my ideas, and that’s fine. Not everyone will resonate with your message, and that’s actually a good thing. Rejection just helps you find the people who truly support you.

  • Be Bold and Vulnerable: The strongest connections come from vulnerability. When I shared my own struggles and successes, people related to me more. Don’t hold back from being real about your experiences.

THIS, is how you build a community that has your back! ⚡

What’s Hot?

  • JT’s Takeaway: If you don’t know who the Savannah Banana’s are, just look them up on TikTok! Minor pro baseball team that is sold out perpetually for their entertainment. In this video, the owner talks about how important their content strategy is and how just by testing they have found winning pieces of content that have build them a global fan base.

  • JT's Takeaway: I have been seeing this creator pop up a few times on my feed giving advice. This video is great and she has a few others about how to really stand out long term, which is by following your own vision your own perspective and your own lane. NOT by conforming to trends, or moments, or others. The more that you really lean into yourself and what makes you unique, the faster you will build your own community.

  • JT’s Takeaway: Great video from a fitness coach and newer creator about how content creation can genuinely change your life still in 2024. GET GOIN!

  • JT’s Takeaway: Some sort of ad-tech that can track organic content to in store purchases will be enormous for companies, this is the paid portion of it but even this is going to be a big opportunity for companies to turn content into trackable revenue! I’m going to make a video about this to give my thoughts further.

  • JT’s Takeaway: Colleges are teaching classes and clubs around social media and becoming an influencer. A friend of mine, Dylan, runs the USC program which has now expanded to tons of others universities in the US. The idea of teaching a class around social media and content creation at a university is really intriguing to me…… we shall see 😎

  • “Don’t work for an algorithm… Work for you!”
