Extra Value | The Sunday Reset

PLUS: Facebook paid creators how much?? And Poppi sold for what?? 🤯

What’s Hot?

  • Meta’s testing something new that could be cool for creators, rolling out ads on on Facebook stories. A similar concept to YT’s monetization program. Last year, Meta paid out over $2B’s to creators 🤯, so they’re clearly trying to keep creators locked in and give more ways to earn. If this takes off, it’s another solid option to repurpose your existing content for a different platform! Not to mention… you’re getting a slice of Meta’s creator fund too.💰️

  • PepsiCo just locked in a $1.95 billion deal to buy Poppi! The soda brand carved out a whole new lane in the beverage world with gut-friendly sodas that actually taste good. This isn’t just Pepsi adding a trendy drink… it’s a bet on better-for-you products that are going to start taking market share.

  • It’s the first show from Unwell Productions, focussed on brining raw, unfiltered content that hits Gen Z.

  • Great article from ADWEEK tapping into marketing and ad industry leaders to share their insights + key takeaways from SXSW!

  • Andy Hillocks shares his take on storytelling and the key fundamentals to master.

  • Netflix is taking over sports and Tatum breaks down how they’re doing it! Smart branding curated around athletes and their stories is the key factor that sets Netflix apart from other sports streaming platforms.

  • Jimmy is upping the prize money to $15 million next year 🤯. Casting call is open for Season 2 through their IG account.

Founder’s Corner

Let’s get ready for a great week! 👊🏻

Sundays are a big day for me to reset and gear up for what’s next. I set the vibe, the night before so I can show up on Monday with energy and a game plan. I’m gonna walk you through what I do every Sunday… these steps have helped me massively, and I think they can help you too. 😎

1. Calendar Check 🗓️

If you follow my content, you already know I’m BIG on using my calendar! I schedule everything… not just calls or meetings, but personal stuff too. Workouts, dinner plans, or meeting friends, it goes in the calendar.

On Sundays, I go back and review the past 7 days. I’m asking 🤔:

• What happened?

• Did I follow up on everything I needed to?

• Is there anything left hanging that I need to take action on before the new week?

This process helps me close loops. It keeps little things from slipping through the cracks, and mentally it feels good to wrap up the week fully. It’s less about productivity hacks and more about peace of mind. 😴

2. Camera Roll Review 📱

I record a lot, so not everything makes it onto the calendar, but my camera roll? That’s where the real-life stuff lives. 📸

• Random pics, quick videos, screenshots, cool moments, little wins — it’s all there.

• I’ll plan any content with with things in my camera roll and I’ll take a few minutes just to organize or upload to my drives.

It’s also a great way to reflect and revisit things. This helps me process what impacted me, what I enjoyed, and what I want to carry with me into the next week! 👊🏻

3. Ask: What Would Make This Week Great? 🔍

After reviewing everything, I ask myself a simple but powerful question:

➡️ What would make this upcoming week great — for me, for my business, and for my mental health?

Sometimes it’s tactical 📊:

• Do I need more content days to film?

• Should I clear space to focus on strategy instead of calls?

Other times it’s personal ✅:

• Do I need to slow down a bit and protect my energy?

• Should I schedule time with people who fuel me?

The key here is being proactive 🔑. Instead of letting the week happen to me, I’m setting the tone for how I want it to feel and flow. This question alone has helped me avoid burnout and stay aligned with what actually matters.

4. Prioritize Rest 💤

Let’s talk sleep. Super important one.

• I use an Oura ring to track my sleep and sometimes it gives me a score of 50 (which is… not ideal 😂).

So now, Sunday night is for early wind-down. I eat early, no late-night screens, and aim to get in bed at a time that lets me wake up refreshed.

I dont prioritize being a “sleep monk”… it’s about respecting that energy is your #1 asset. ⭐

That’s the routine. Simple snd really intentional. it’s about being present, learning from your week, and planning with purpose. Let’s step into this week with clarity, energy, and momentum! I hope you have the best week. 😎⚡️
